FAQ

What exactly is Pathcraft?

Pathcraft is a strategic advisory service that helps you understand and navigate the realities of work.

We don't fit in a box, and neither does our work. We sit between HR, recruitment, and career counselling. That means we don’t just support how you feel — we help you understand what’s actually happening, how decisions are being made, and what your options are.

Who is this for?

This is for anyone navigating a moment at work where the stakes feel high or something doesn’t quite make sense.

That might be:

→ a performance conversation or PIP

→ redundancy or restructure

→ conflict or unclear feedback

→ a job search or career shift

→ asking for support or accommodations

→ or simply a sense that something is “off”

You don’t need to have it fully figured out before you reach out.

How is this different from HR, a lawyer, or a psychologist?

Each of those services plays a role, but none of them cover this space fully.

→ HR supports the business

→ Lawyers step in once things escalate

→ Psychologists support your wellbeing

We focus on helping you understand the system, your position within it, and how to move forward strategically.

What happens in a session?

You bring your situation, and we work through it together.

We’ll ask questions, unpack the context, and help you understand what’s actually going on. From there, we’ll map your options and build a clear, practical approach for what to do next.

You’ll leave with more clarity, and a strategy you can act on.

Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?

No.

If you have documents (emails, performance plans, job descriptions), you can bring them, but it’s not required. We’ll guide the session based on what you share.

How do I know who to book with?

Book Sophie if your situation is internal to your workplace (performance, redundancy, conflict, HR processes, accommodations).

Book Aimee if your focus is external or forward-looking (job search, positioning, interviews, career direction).

→ Book both if your situation involves both sides (e.g. leaving a role and planning your next move).

If you’re unsure, just start somewhere or book a free discovery call, we’ll guide you.

What if I’m not sure what’s wrong but something feels off?

That’s completely valid, and very common.

You don’t need to have a clear problem statement. Part of what we do is help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and identify what’s actually going on.

Is this confidential?

Yes.

Everything you share is treated as private and confidential. We are independent of your employer and act solely in your interest.

Do you give legal advice?

No.

We don’t provide legal advice, but we can help you understand your situation, prepare for conversations, and decide if or when legal support might be appropriate.

Can you guarantee outcomes?

No, and no one credible should.

What we can do is help you understand your position clearly, avoid common missteps, and make decisions that are informed, strategic, and aligned with your goals.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your situation.

Some people get what they need from a single session. Others prefer ongoing support while they navigate something more complex. We’ll always be transparent about what’s useful not just what’s possible.

Do you support neurodivergent clients?

Yes.

We provide neuroaffirming, behavioural science-informed support and can help you navigate work in a way that aligns with how you function. This includes support with accommodations, communication, and building sustainable ways of working.

You don’t need a formal diagnosis to access this.

Is there any funding available for this kind of support?

In some cases, yes.

Australian programs like the Employment Assistance Fund (via JobAccess) may cover or subsidise workplace support for neurodivergent employees.

Depending on your situation, additional support may also be available through NDIS or employer-funded programs.

What if I’ve never worked with someone like this before?

Most people haven’t.

This kind of support isn’t widely available which is exactly why Pathcraft exists. You don’t need to know how it works before you start. That’s what we’re here for.

How do I get started?

Book a session. Bring whatever you have or just bring the situation.

We’ll take it from there.
